Reinforced trunk edge protector VW Golf VII. 2012-2020 (hatchback, matte)
PODOBNI IZDELKI
The reinforced protective strip for the car’s rear bumper is made of stainless steel. It reliably protects the bumper from scratches when loading and unloading items from the boot.
The reinforced strip is 0.8 mm thick (standard strips are 0.5 mm thick). The plastic ribbing also partially protects the surface of the strip itself and gives it a distinctive and luxurious look.
The strip is resistant to all weather conditions, including rain and moisture. There are drainage gaps in the 3M tape on the underside of the strip, in case water gets underneath it.
The protective strip is fitted using 3M double-sided adhesive tape, which is included in the pack. By using the protective strip, you protect the edges of your car’s bumper, thereby avoiding potential repair costs.
Avisa is a manufacturer of steel protective strips for the automotive industry. Thanks to its long-standing tradition of manufacturing and the quality of its products, the Avisa brand is renowned throughout Europe.
All protective strips are attached using 3M double-sided adhesive tape, which offers excellent adhesion. However, if the bumper is not sufficiently clean or degreased, the strip may come unstuck.
When applying the strip, we strongly recommend using 3M Primer 94.
Even if the bumper has been properly cleaned and degreased, the strip may come unstuck if applied to a porous surface (e.g. a plastic bumper).
If you are installing protective strips on a newly purchased (or second-hand) car. This is because both new and second-hand cars usually have their bodywork excessively polished with waxes or ceramic-based products prior to sale. Whilst this gives the bodywork a high gloss, a bodywork treated in this way has reduced adhesion.
