Yakima FatCat 6 Ski Carrier

The Yakima FatCat 6 ski and snowboard rack is at the cutting edge of rack technology. It features a futuristic design and, above all, offers a wide range of functions. The rack can carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards.

A major advantage of the Yakima FatCat 6 is its special ski mounting system. Only one rubber strap is visible, whilst the other is concealed inside the carrier, giving it a very low profile.

The carrier’s uniqueness lies, among other things, in its unique SmartFlex joint mechanism, which allows skis and snowboards of varying thicknesses to be secured to the carrier. This mechanism enables the carrier’s top arm to be automatically raised if necessary.

The rack is, of course, lockable. It is opened using a large button that is easy to operate even when wearing ski gloves.

The Yakima FatCat carrier can also accommodate skis and snowboards with high bindings. A carrier riser kit is included in the package. When using the kit, the carrier is raised on one side only.

Fitting to the crossbars is very simple, and the carrier is compatible with all types of roof racks.
