AMT Gastroguss frying pan sized㺣 × 24 cm, height 5 cm, made from aluminium, with Lotan® non-stick coating, made in Germany. AMT Gastroguss - Best frying pan in the world – according to VKD (Germany's largest association of chefs) All AMT Gastroguss products are made from hand-cast aluminium by skilled craftsmen. Among the advantages of hand-cast aluminium are: longer hardening time, which prevents material stress, homogeneous casting and fewer air pockets in the material than with mechanical casting. AMT Gastroguss frying pans have a very thick base up to 9 mm thick. This stores more energy and does not overheat easily. AMT Gastroguss is also renowned for the fact that the base does not deform over time, even when subjected to extreme temperature variations. The aluminium that underlies Gastroguss products is first sandblasted to increase the adhesion surface of the layers to be applied to it by a factor of 12. The first layer applied to the frying pan is made from titanium oxide, burnt at 20.000 °C, which is almost as hard as diamond. The next layers applied are: the anti-corrosive layer, the middle layer with ceramic particles and the anti-adhesive surface layer called Lotan®. This non-stick layer can only be found on AMT Gastroguss frying pans and in addition to its non-stick properties, which help to clean the frying pans easily, it also has an antibacterial effect. Lotan® non-stick coating offers all the advantages of a classic non-stick coating, but does all this without containing PFOA. Gastroguss frying pan handles withstand temperatures up to 240 °C. So you can grill your food immediately after cooking it on the hob, without having to change the frying pan. The ergonomic handles were developed with the help of the German National Culinary Team. This product can be washed in the dishwasher and can be used on all hobs except induction hobs.
