Style Essential water filter jug produced by BRITA, includes:
- Transparent plastic container, total capacity 2.4 L, filtered water capacity 1.4 L;- Special BPA-free plastic funnel;- Plastic lid with LED cartridge replacement indicator;- 2 MAXTRA PRO filter cartridges (Pure Performance and Limescale Expert) – each can filter approximately 150 L of tap water*.
Why choose BRITA filter jugs?
These innovative water filter jugs offer a practical, convenient, and eco-friendly way to stay hydrated without the constant need to buy bottled water. Unlike single-use plastic bottles that harm the environment and decompose slowly, BRITA jugs are reusable long-term – you only need to replace the filter cartridges.
Enjoy the authentic taste of water which, once filtered, is much clearer and has significantly reduced impurities.
Thanks to its compact size and shape, the Style Essential filter jug fits easily on refrigerator shelves and, with its elegant design, looks great on any table.
The carafe and funnel are dishwasher safe, except for the lid, which should be cleaned manually.
Cartridge replacement indicator
The Style Essential filter jug is equipped with an LED Smart Light indicator on the lid that reminds you to change the filter. This unique feature is exclusive to the Style Essential range. Named "Smart Light", the system monitors the remaining life of the MAXTRA PRO cartridge and signals the need for replacement by changing color from green to yellow and then to red.
To activate the monitoring system, press and hold the LED button for about 5 seconds, during which the green light will blink 3 times. Each time you use the Style Essential jug, the green light will flash. When it turns yellow, it means it's time to replace the MAXTRA PRO cartridge.
If the light turns red, the cartridge has reached the end of its recommended filtration capacity (approximately 150 L of water).
Replacing the MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge
Assuming an average consumption of 2 L of water per person per day, we recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO cartridge every 4 weeks or after 150 L of filtered water. To replace it, remove the lid, carefully take out the funnel, and pull the used cartridge upwards from both sides. The ergonomic design of the MAXTRA PRO cartridges makes removal and replacement easy.
MAXTRA PRO Technology
The jug includes a BRITA MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge - an improved version of the original MAXTRA+.
The innovative MicroFlow filtration technology of the MAXTRA PRO cartridges delivers consistently high performance and is the result of 5 years of research at BRITA's laboratories in Germany. The taste of your tea and coffee – hot or cold – will noticeably improve after filtering with MAXTRA PRO. Filtered water also prevents limescale buildup in appliances, helping extend their lifespan.
MAXTRA PRO offers an economical and eco-friendly alternative to bottled water, and the cartridges are 100% recyclable.
Compared to previous BRITA cartridges, MAXTRA PRO features a final filter screen that is 4 times more effective than the one in MAXTRA+. Tap water is first passed through a super-fine mesh to remove coarse particles from old pipes and then again through a high-performance final mesh filter.
The Micro Carbon formula, made from coconut shell, efficiently removes impurities that affect taste and smell. The ion exchange resin reduces limescale and heavy metals such as copper and lead. The superior filtration performance and clean taste of BRITA water are due to these specialized filter materials.
The compact structure of the activated carbon enables it to filter more water more effectively. The micropores trap unwanted substances, including traces of pesticides.
Proven MAXTRA PRO filter efficiency
BRITA filters and jugs are tested both internally and by renowned organizations such as TÜV SÜD, which certifies compliance with European food-grade standards.
MAXTRA filters are even recommended by the UK Tea Academy, with studies confirming that tea and coffee made using filtered water taste better.
How does the water purification process actually work?
It’s simple – yet far from superficial. The MAXTRA PRO cartridge uses a 5-step filtration process:
1. The initial mesh blocks coarse particles;2. Micro carbon granules from coconut shells reduce chlorine and organic compounds;3. Ion exchange resin retains metals and reduces limescale deposits;4. A final high-performance mesh filter removes even the finest particles – 4 times more effective than MAXTRA+;5. Your water is now ready to enjoy!
*BRITA filters are intended for use only with regularly tested potable tap water or declared potable water from private sources.
