Cleaning the fountain:
Once a week, wash and rinse the drinking fountain with a soft sponge and a mild cleaning agent without chemicals and abrasives. Rinse everything carefully to ensure no soap residue remains.
Cleaning the filter:
Remove the filter from the bottom of the fountain and rinse it. Do not wash the filter with soap. If the filter contains dirt or other foreign substances, replace it. (Replacement filters are sold separately.) Replace the filter every three to four weeks or as soon as signs of saturation with foreign substances (contamination, food residues, hair, etc.) appear. More frequent replacement may be necessary depending on the environment or water quality, as well as when used by multiple animals simultaneously. See the user manual.
Cleaning the pump:
If you suspect the pump is dirty, open the pump and remove the impeller cover and take out the wheel. Remove all dirt from the impeller and clean the impeller housing with running water. Be careful when handling the impeller. If the pump is making noise, clean the pump as described above and fill the drinking water reservoir with a large amount of water so that the pump is completely submerged. The pump must not run dry!
